Xerox Recognizes Its Top Software Partners at Annual Conference
Thursday 16. October 2008 - Xerox Corporation, at its North American Alliance Partner Conference, honored software developer Drivve LLC for its innovative Web-based document management system.
The company was awarded “Most Innovative Extensible Interface Platform Application.” Drivve | DM allows information scanned into a Xerox office multifunction printer (MFP) to be accessed from any browser, anywhere.
Approximately 250 software vendors, systems integrators, resellers and other partners convened in Savannah this week for the second annual conference to discuss ways to leverage Xerox’s Extensible Interface Platform (EIP) to build software that helps customers achieve greater control of their information and improve business processes. EIP is based on Web standards and found in many Xerox MFPs.
“The key to remaining competitive is basing every company decision on solid data,” said Thomas Hahner, vice president of business development at Drivve. “Drivve | DM puts critical business information at your fingertips when it matters most.”
The “Most Innovative EIP Application” award is aimed at the growing number of developer-level members of the Xerox Alliance Program. Xerox now has more than 1,000 developer members.
Xerox also announced at the conference its “2007 Partners of the Year,” recognizing Nuance Communications, Streem Communications LLC and RSA, as platinum-, gold- and silver-level partners, respectively. Winners were selected based on input from channel sales representatives, number of accounts sold and revenue.
Xerox Scan to PC Desktop EIP edition, from Nuance, enables office workers to customize the scanning menus and tasks they will see at the MFP, reducing the steps needed to scan and save information. This transforms the MFP into the user’s personal document management system.
Streem Connect, offers a centralized communications management system for secure scan-to-fax, e-mail and broadcast notification. It can be used to send, receive, print, archive and track information through the MFP. Government, healthcare and educational institutions can use it to deliver confidential information quickly and securely.
RSA develops workflow software applications that let companies consolidate, optimize and manage data center and network printing. QDirect.Scan, RSA’s scan-to-print center software integrates directly with EIP-enabled MFPs and lets customers scan hardcopy documents from the MFP to a centralized print center for high-volume printing. Customers can specify ticketing options, such as the number of copies, single or double-sided, billing codes, etc., all directly from the MFP upon scanning.
“In this challenging economy, partnerships aren’t just about survival at the risk of perishing. It’s about working together to flourish,” said Ursula Burns, president of Xerox, who keynoted the event. “With an open development platform and an open partner program, together we can make every connection count for our customers.”
The North American Xerox Alliance Partner Conference is sponsored by Nuance, Equitrac, Notable Solutions, Inc, X-Solutions, YSoft, EFI, ESP, Omtool Ltd., SafeCom and Visioneer.
