UpCode USA Unveils UpCode “DeCode BETA” In The United States With CBSOutdoor Using Mall Billboards, Kiosks and Digital Screens
Tuesday 07. October 2008 - UpCode USA, Goldmill Productions and CBS Outdoor, has teamed up for the biggest billboard promotion yet. UpCode unveils today the first campaign in the USA, utilizing UpCode "DeCode". This initiative is designed to give every mobile phone user with a camera the ability to use UpCode without having to download a 2d barcode reader to their handset.
This campaign starts in numerous CBS Outdoor locations, by simply taking a “picture” of the UpCode with a standard camera phone and then sending the “picture” via MMS to an UpCode number. “The Spin Begins” campaign features printed UpCodes on CBS Outdoor mall billboards, kiosk and digital screens throughout CBS Outdoor locations. Participants can now scan or decode UpCodes to view a movie trailer, get a free DVD, including winning merchandise and prizes just for participating at CBS Outdoor mall locations.
Erika Mitchell, of CBS Outdoor states, “We want to give people more when visiting our malls and when viewing our billboards.
