DuPont Pakistan Awarded for Corporate Social Responsibility
Tuesday 30. September 2008 - DuPont Pakistan recently received a corporate social responsibility award from Helpline Trust for demonstrating a commendable commitment to its customers and community.
One of DuPont’s leading community programs includes the donation of DuPont Nomex protective gears and fire-fighting coveralls to help firefighters. In addition, DuPont provided extensive renovations at the Korangi Fire Station in Pakistan.
DuPont also organized a first aid safety outreach program for teachers and other educators to promote injury prevention. A DuPont “free eye camp” provided free screening, refractions and medication to improve vision healthcare for more than 1,000 rural residents of Pakistan.
“We actively support programs and organizations that address health and education excellence to improve the quality of life and enhance the vitality of the communities where we operate,” said Tauqir Ahmed, leader of DuPont Pakistan. “Our programs reinforce DuPont’s core values.”
