CANON U.S.A. AND CGS ANNOUNCE IDEAlliance SWOP AND GRACol CERTIFICATION ON CANON imagePROGRAF iPF x100 SERIES PRINTERS

Thursday 18. September 2008 - Canon's iPF x100 Series Large Format Printers System and CGS PearlProof Media Awarded SWOP Grade 3 and 5, and GRACol Grade 1 Certifications

Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of digital imaging technology, and CGS Publishing Technologies International, today announced that standards organization IDEAlliance has awarded SWOP Grade 3 and 5, and GRACol Grade 1 certifications to Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPF x100 Series large format printers when used in conjunction with CGS’s ORIS PearlProof media.

IDEAlliance SWOP (Specifications for Web Offset Publications) and GRACol (General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography) Certification of the Canon iPF x100 Series large format printers and CGS media assures graphics, publishing, packaging and production professionals consistent and accurate color reproduction in order to match the appearance of certified press proofs used in print production.
