PraxisDialog 18: Chemical-Free Printing Plates – Green and Efficient
Thursday 18. September 2008 - Ecology and economy in practice
On September 24, manroland will invite experts from the graphics industry to Augsburg, Germany, for PraxisDialog 18. The topic of the event is “Chemical-Free Printing Plates – Green and Efficient”.
Questions to be examined include the following: What do chemical-free printing plates offer? How can ecology and economy be combined in practice? Users will report on their experiences.
Manufacturers and users to report
manroland will host PraxisDialog 18 in cooperation with several partners. In Augs-burg, manufacturer FUJIFILM will present the new chemical-free newspaper printing plate Brillia HD PRO-V, and the chemical-free commercial printing plate Brillia HD PRO-T, as well as its exposure in the Luxel T series. Krause-Biagosch will report on the requirements and challenges of a computer-to-plate system using chemical-free exposure. Markus Sicker, coach for PECOM and Prepress Training at manroland, will moderate. The practical part of the event will take place at manrolands R&D department. Here, all participants can see the new, chemical-free newspaper printing plate printing live in the COLORMAN, XXL. They will also learn how a Krause CtP system can contribute to climate-neutral printing. Speakers from a sheetfed offset print shop and a newspaper printing company will report on practical aspects. An exchange of ideas will complete the event.
