A new PET-R more sustainable development

Friday 12. September 2008 - Seufert has developed a new material more sustainable development: PET-R. Thanks to this innovative and very qualitative material Seufert meets the growing requests of the packaging market for eco-design.

Today environmental protection has a key role in the purchase decision. That’s why Seufert developed PET-R and has been constantly working on eco-design of its materials.

Transparency towards Environmental Protection

The development of this new material required several years. It consists of a high value-added plastic film and coextruded layers. The middle layer and outer layer recycling rate – the only ones that can be recycled – amounts to 85%. Through this recycling system closed circuit Seufert reduced considerably the use of materials made of fossil and contributes actively to reduce the environmental impact of its packaging.
