Kodak Photokina Panel Unites Diverse Photographers Around Film

Wednesday 10. September 2008 - Pep Bonet, Det Kempke, Amy Postle and Eddie Soloway to Present "Pro Photography: What's Film Got to Do With It?"; Professor Rolf Sachsse to Moderate

Combine fashion, commercial, photojournalism and nature photographers together on a stage and the conversation can go anyplace. But at the Photokina panel “Pro Photography: What’s Film Got to Do with It,” hosted by Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK), the one passion shared by these photographers is their love of film. The panel, featuring internationally renowned photographers Pep Bonet, Det Kempke, Amy Postle and Eddie Soloway, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Rolf Sachsse, will explore their work, their motivations and the relevance of film in their craft.

“When I look at the collective portfolios of each of these artists, I’m simply astounded by the voice, passion and commitment each brings to the stories they tell,” said Mary Jane Hellyar, president, Film, Photofinishing & Entertainment Group and executive vice president, Eastman Kodak Company. “We’re thrilled to have such an accomplished and diverse group share their experiences and engage with Photokina attendees.”

Kodak will host the panels on Wednesday, September 24 and Friday, September 26 at Photokina’s Koeln Messe fairgrounds at the following times and locations:

— Wednesday, September 24; 2:00 – 3:30 pm; Hall 1, Open Stage
— Friday, September 26; 2:00 – 3:30 pm; Hall 1, Open Stage

In addition to the discussion, Kodak will showcase photographs by the panelists at its booth, Hall 5.2, Booth: C-019, C-009, B-109, B-001. The photographers work with a number of the films in Kodak’s portfolio, including the newly introduced KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTAR 100 Film — now the world’s finest grain color negative film.
