Walls come down to make way for a Suprasetter

Ashleigh Print had a staircase removed and the managing director’s office wall knocked down to take delivery of its Suprasetter A52 CtP device.

Thursday 28. August 2008 - Ashleigh Print had a staircase removed and the managing director’s office wall knocked down to take delivery of its Suprasetter A52 CtP device.

But as a result the company has created more space by cutting out the film planning and imagesetting equipment and film and plate storage. Platemaking is now so quick and easy that even reprints are going to use fresh plates.

“I’m delighted with it,” says founder and managing director Diane Ashleigh. “We wanted to go processless and reduce our chemistry bill and we think the quality is better.

“Our business altered from the first day I bought Heidelberg equipment so I took no convincing to buy a Polar guillotine from them last November and the CtP device now. The training was first class, too.”

Having had the darkroom adjacent to her office the icing on the cake is that Diane Ashleigh now has a bigger office.

The Suprasetter will feed two GTOs, a single- and a two-colour, which are used to produce work for a local, national and export market.

The company has been in operation since 1980 and has built its reputation on being ethical and easy to deal with.
