Baumann Druck has ordered another manroland press, this time a 40-page LITHOMAN in short-grain format. This company with its headquarters in Kulmbach in Bavaria has been printing with an OCTOMAN since the end of 1999.

The new LITHOMAN is due to start production at the beginning of 2009. It will be equipped with two cross gluing units and a cylinder stitcher for DIN A4 production plus a combined longitudinal gluing and softening device for DIN A3 products. In future the LITHOMAN will be used to print high-quality advertising supplements. Bernhard Bitzl, Regional Sales Manager Web Presses at manroland, emphasizes the performance capabilities of the press: “We are delighted that Baumann Druck has decided in our favor once again. With its flexibility, reliability, and in this case a maximum output of 2.4 million pages per hour, the LITHOMAN is indisputably the market leader in the field of supplement production. And this with consistently perfect print quality.”
