AGC Europe choose ReadSoft to automate their Accounts Payable process in SAP
Wednesday 16. July 2008 - AGC Europe has chosen ReadSoft's electronic invoice processing solution. The European Group will initially automate the handling of 120,000 invoices annually. ReadSoft's solution will be linked to AGC's SAP enterprise system.
AGC Europe is part of world-wide leader Asahi Glass Company (AGC) of Japan. The AGC Group is one of the major industrial groups in Japan, with a strong presence across Asia, Europe and North America. AGC Europe provides expertise, support and services to AGC businesses in Europe. The main activities include AGC Flat Glass who manufactures flat glass products used mainly in the building industry and AGC Automotive who develops and produces high tech automotive glass.
Within AGC Europe an internally developed system has been used to process supplier invoices at some of the plants. But when the European branch decided to expand and optimize the Purchase to Pay process in all subsidiaries, the internal solution was not good enough. So they went looking to find the best possible solution. AGC Europe formed a project team that studied the invoice automation market and after a thorough investigation their decision was to go with ReadSoft.

The fact that their software is able to process all European languages on a single platform was also a key factor,” explains Rudy Marthus, responsible for the implementation of the solution at AGC Europe.
ReadSoft DOCUMENTS for Invoices will initially process Russian, French, English and Czech invoices. AGC Europe has chosen to install the “Packaged Solution for SAP” from ReadSoft. The solution is based on best practices from all ReadSoft customers in the SAP environment and will allow the solution to be in production within shortly. The solution already integrates with pre-setup processes and common scenarios.
