Mohawk Offers Worldwide Distribution at Drupa 2008
Monday 02. June 2008 - Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. [Drupa booth 71C51] joins a record number of exhibitors at Drupa 2008 as the only paper manufacturer from North America.
Mohawk, which acquired the Strathmore and Beckett grades along with Via and BriteHue in the 2005 acquisition of the Fine Papers Division of International Paper, has continued to see a rapid growth in its overseas distribution and is on pace to do exceptionally well in 2008.
Mohawk’s appeal is growing internationally due to its strategic focus on developing specific new markets. Currently operating three mills, six paper machines, four converting centers, and four warehouses, Mohawk works with 400 distributors in 43 countries on six continents. “The types of papers we have fill a product need that is not available in many markets. Mohawk has a strong orientation and understanding of export markets. That, coupled with our growing international distribution, makes us believe that being at Drupa is important for us, and our overseas customers,” said Joe OConnor, Senior Vice President, Sales/Corporate Accounts and International Sales.
