FSC relies on the active participation of its members in the development of forest certification standards and in the support of local FSC initiatives.
By becoming a member, Mohawk is demonstrating its commitment to promote responsible management of the worlds forests as well as its commitment to FSC and its principles. Participating with FSC at this level enables Mohawk to deepen its active support to promote responsible management of our worlds forests.”
The FSC organization consists of three international chambers: Economic, Social and Environmental. “FSC welcomes Mohawks decision to increase its commitment beyond being FSC certified and become a member of the FSC. Mohawk now officially joins a group of leaders in environmental and social businesses who jointly, with social and environmental organizations, actively shape the future of the FSC,” said Liza Murphy, Managing Director FSC Global Development.
