mochee: Imagination as Decor

Created by Honolulu artist Sabina Hochroth, mochee is a brand-new line of original, museum-quality matte vinyl wall decals available exclusively at mochee.com. The company grew out of Hochroth’s vision of art that interacts with people in their environment, a concept well-served by the removable self-stick decals.

“I believe imagination is vital in our everyday lives,” Hochroth explained. “There are things I see, appreciate, love in life, and I want to share a little of that with people. mochee is partly about being able to see the magic in our everyday experience and partly about interacting with space — especially our personal space.”

With the look of fine art, mochee allows the user to custom-design his or her own space without spending a lot of time, money or energy on paint, wallpaper and other decorating materials. Because mochee can be removed without damaging the wall, it can be used to change a room’s feel and appearance on a whim.

Hochroth’s mochee designs range in style from whimsical to modern and include deco, inscriptions, icons and collections inspired by the forest and the feminine form. All are available in 23 custom colors and are sized from 16″x13″ to 21″x52″.

But Hochroth has not stopped there. She will also work with clients to custom-design mochee decals to meet their needs, and the options are limited only by clients’ — and Hochroth’s — imaginations.

“People can completely change the look and feel of their homes, their offices, their shops or restaurants or galleries with mochee,” said Hochroth. “When I design custom mochee, it can be as simple as turning a client’s logo into a wall decal or as complex as redesigning an entire hotel space. It’s a striking yet inexpensive design element that melds fine art, architecture and design.”
