Thursday 22. May 2008 - From Virtualization to Networking, Across 12 Countries Worldwide, Updated Citrix Ready Program Meets Customer and Partner Needs
Today at Citrix Synergy, the event where virtualization, networking and application delivery meet, Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTXS) demonstrated continued momentum of its Citrix Ready Program, adding 247 new verified partner products and more than 50 new technology partners. This rapid expansion in the first five months raises the total number of products tested and verified for the Citrix Delivery Center product family to more than 550.
In addition, continuing to drive market adoption of desktop virtualization, the company unveiled a new segment of the Citrix Ready Program – Desktop Appliances for Citrix XenDesktop. This new partner initiative is aimed at establishing standards for a new class of device purpose-built to deliver a superior user experience when combined with XenDesktop. Desktop appliances verified “Citrix Ready” are defined by two levels: Basic and Plus. Devices meeting the Desktop Appliance Plus requirements offer more robust capabilities and performance specifically designed to provide the best user experience – with capabilities such as higher resolution, Instant On, multimedia and peripheral device support.
