Tuesday 20. May 2008 - TGC - Tecnica Grafica Computerizzata introduces the Cromaspot automated ink dispensing system which allows printers to prepare spot colours in-house and on-demand.

This compact and affordable system uses ink cartridges to obtain formulations quickly and accurately. The Dositech and Colorfix systems feed ink to the press from cartridges or drums: the ink level is monitored by electronic sensor and ink is added automatically. Rechargeable ink cartridges are available. The empty cartridge is replaced with a full one by hand or automatic changer and then refilled by the Colorpac unit. The advantages: faster make-readies, less ink waste and disposal costs, reduced solvent use and clean-up times, increased quality and productivity.
