Monday 26. May 2008 - Russell Webb Ltd - Hall 6, Booth A23-3 - are again attending Drupa under the banner of Picon the UK’s printing industry’s confederation. RW are now Europe¹s leading manufacturer of anti-set-off spray powder for converters, printers and packaging companies, with around 75% of production exported from the UK. Drupa will see RW for the first time offer their range of powders in eco-friendly 1kg screw-top pouches which are particularly popular in Asian markets.

Russell Webb products are available from dealers in around 60 countries; in addition it is available under private label from a number of international suppliers. Martyn Elmy, Sales and Marketing Director of RW explained “our range of spray powders is the widest in the industry coving both the standard coated and uncoated powders offered by an American supplier and the high quality, ultra-low dust products from a German competitor”.

In addition RW have manufactured aqueous coatings in the UK for more than 15 years and UV curable varnishes since the year 2000 with Belgium and Singapore being particularly good markets this year.

Drupa 2008 sees the launch of RW¹s Clearcoat Digital primer / pre-coating for paper and plastics for use on reel and sheet-fed digital presses. Elmy continued “the use of RW’s primer enables a printer to coat almost any substrate to make it suitable for the latest high speed digital presses from Xeikon, HP Indigo etc’. The cost saving from using ‘normal’ litho quality stock compared with ‘digital paper’ is non insignificant, but the real benefit comes from having the ability to offer customers a quick turn-round on almost any paper or plastic when printed digitally.
