Cold sealing without allergic risk

Monday 26. May 2008 - The natural rubber in cold seal adhesives is normally responsible for a remarkable risk of allergic reactions. An extreme example for allergic patients might be a dangerous anaphylactic shock. The company EUKALIN Special Adhesives, Eschweiler, shows an adhesive solution with severely reduced allergic potential on DRUPA in Düsseldorf (29.5. until 11.6.).

Analyses showed that the SAFE-SEAL cold seal products of EUKALIN show a reduced content of protein and thus reach a noticeable cutting of the allergic risk. The independent famous Leatherhead Food Institute, Surrey, England, certifies the significantly lower share of allergenic proteins in the SAFE-SEAL products compared to standard cold seal adhesives. The institute also confirms that the allergic risk for the final consumer can be reduced considerably by using SAFE-SEAL products.

No handling disadvantages have to be expected by the user. From an application technical point of view the new products are comparable to present products. As per EUKALIN a changeover to this adhesives is absolutely uncritical.
