The motto is “Everything under one roof”. ContiTech has incorporated the Format Center into printing blanket production at its Northeim plant. With its ultra-modern equipment, the Format Center cuts CONTI-AIR printing blankets to any size required and hydraulically and pneumatically affixes bars to them. The Format Center has been integrated into the plant, dealers and printing plants from all around the world can obtain full ContiTech service at one address. The advantage: The printing blankets are finished by the same people who produce and develop them. The plants unique machine arsenal ensures maximum production quality and minimal scrap. By doing everything at the plant, it is possible to run stress tests on the as-delivered product. A computer-assisted shuttle warehousing system allows for fast handling. Production has a choice of hundreds of bar types. The compressibility of the printing blankets can likewise be exactly measured and documented.
