“Your needs first” – New Products from PHOENIX Xtra Blankets

The PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS brand from ContiTech has long been a byword for innovative and long-lived products. At this years drupa (booth A79 in hall 6), ContiTech is presenting new printing blankets under the brand, including the Canyon varnishing blanket and self-adhesive blankets of the Xtra Sticky series.
The Canyon provides excellent varnishing results. It applies the varnish evenly, minimizes ink buildup during varnishing and achieves an exceptionally high degree of gloss. This is essentially due to a polymer layer developed specifically for transferring aqueous dispersion varnishes. The Canyon also allows for easy stripping of areas to be left unvarnished. Certain zones can thus be reserved for pasting or other purposes.
Based on PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS technology, printing blankets have been developed with a special adhesive layer that are used in various offset printing applications. This new kind of adhesive technology enables tight thickness tolerances, outstanding adhesion, and blanket removal from the cylinder with no adhesive residue. Nominal thicknesses ranging from 0.88 mm to 2.25 mm are offered.
