MetalFX FOUNDER TO HAND OVER REINS TO CIBA
Thursday 08. May 2008 - After more than six years at the helm of his globally renowned metallic colour company, MetalFX Technology, Andrew Ainge will step down as managing director to concentrate on his new business, blanc canvas Limited. (www.blanc-canvas.com) MetalFX Technology has operated as part of Ciba Color Services, a Ciba Inc. business unit, since August 2006.
Sonia Megert Marshall, Ciba Color Services Head, comments: “Since inception in 2002, Andrew has spearheaded the success of one of the most innovative metallic colour systems. He has developed a range of products which have revolutionised the way metallic colours are printed and today, MetalFX Technology continues to offer exciting, never-before-seen possibilities for the print and design world. We wish Andrew the best of luck in his new venture with blanc canvas and hope that his passion for business innovation wins him the success he has achieved with MetalFX.”
Andrew, who is currently handing over general management to the newly appointed MetalFX business manager, Jim Walker, previously with DuPont Colour Communications, comments on his imminent departure: “MetalFX has played the biggest and most successful part of my career to date so it will be sad to officially hand over control to someone else. However, Ciba have exciting plans for the business and I know that under the new management, it will continue to go from strength to strength. I am looking forward to the new challenges which lie ahead for blanc canvas and hope that it will impress and excite the print and digital media world in the same way MetalFX did.”
