Six hostesses will be presenting printing blankets in quite a different way than usual – as their booth outfits

May 2008 - With a bit of fantasy, this year’s ContiTech booth is bringing a touch of haute couture to the drupa - not only because of its pretty hostesses, but because of their outfits in particular: six hostesses will be presenting the two brands CONTI-AIR and PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS from ContiTech Elastomer Coatings in quite a different way than usual - as a material for their booth outfits.

Three of them are wearing suits in the blue shade of CONTI-AIR, while the other three are red, the color of PHOENIX Xtra BLANKETS. What’s really special about them is that the outfits are not made from fabric, but are tailored from CONTI AIR Litho-HC and PXB Ruby printing blankets!

“The idea for this unusual display of boothwear came from our team of planners”, explained Jutta Freter, who works in the marketing department for ContiTech Elastomer Coatings. “We’re using this unique clothing to demonstrate in a whole new way just how fascinating and flexible the characteristics and functions of our printing blankets are. What’s more, the outfits reflect the color scheme of our exhibition booth.”

Christina Görnitz, a designer from Cologne, created the outfits especially for the drupa. “Before the exhibition started, we then adjusted the suits to perfectly fit the hostesses’ measurements, turning them into a truly stunning appearance”, said Freter. This just shows that, not only is ContiTech a technology leader, it also incorporates a great deal of creativity into its presentations and has a special liking for the unusual.
