Eye-catching design creates brand preferences
Thursday 01. May 2008 - Packaging design can add unique feeling, appeal and brand preference to a product through tailor made solutions in high quality
Through a yearlong dedication to research, development and product improvement, Superfos has learned that packaging can change the look and feel of a product into a “feel good” authentic experience of e.g. grandmother’s cooking.
“There is no doubt that eye-catching superior packaging design can add a unique feeling and appeal to a product. Thus, we see ourselves as a creative partner who develops new solutions in close coorporation with our customers in order to reach the right experience of the product,” says Product Design Manager Torben Noer and continues:
“The essence of a design development process is to ensure that shapes, æsthetics, technology and functionality play together and create outstanding product properties. Moreover, our premium on-pack decoration not only displays image and brand, it is essential to catch customers’ attention.”
Freshness and green design
Besides the eye-catching features, the innovative packaging solutions also focus on the fact that the content remains fresh, tasty and intact throughout transportation. Torben Noer explains:
“Consumers have never been as health conscious as they are now and they tend to equate fresh with healthy. Therefore, it is of great importance to us that innovative products such as SuperSeal help to conserve the freshness of the food products.”
“Furthermore, the environmental awareness of the consumers means that we have to re-think packaging and search for new ways within sustainable packaging design. A very good example of this is our UniPak Eco – a 100% recycled and recyclable container that still represents the same high quality as the rest of our products. This solution marks break-through within green packaging design that will be joined by many other Superfos products in the near future.”
