Industry Standard
Kevin Sims, Editor of All the World magazine explains why QuarkXPress 7 “was an obvious choice”. “It is the leading desktop publishing program on the market and as far as were concerned no other software package compares. So it really was an easy decision for us to upgrade. QuarkXPress 7 is the industry standard, which is extremely important to us as a global church and a charity. It gives us the flexibility to work with a wide range of suppliers and printers, which is essential in terms of sourcing the most competitive prices.”
QuarkXPress Bringing Charity to Life
“QuarkXPress 7s flexibility adds up to a real design advantage especially when you look at transparency control, Picture Effects and drop shadows. We can now precisely adjust transparency levels of everything from text and pictures to blends and frames. Also, with the unique Picture Effects palette we can use non-destructive image filters and adjustments to create the best possible print-ready designs right in QuarkXPress 7,” added Sims.
“A picture speaks a thousand words, and this certainly holds true in our line of work, as this is often the simplest yet most effective way of conveying our message. Through the power of QuarkXPress 7 we can bring the work of The Salvation Army to life for our readers and show them how it is changing the lives of so many people around the world,” he concluded.
“The Salvation Army does tremendous work, and people all over the world are benefiting every day from their amazing efforts,” commented Matthew Wallis, Senior Vice President, Sales Europe and Africa. “We believe that helping community is extremely important and are delighted that the Salvation Army is using QuarkXPress to spread the word of its good work across the world and to bring to light to the plight of the people who desperately need support.”
