Kodak Offers Webinar Series on Document Capture Trends and Best Practices to Benefit Small to Medium Sized Business

Thursday 17. April 2008 - Small to medium sized businesses are faced with the big challenge of managing documents and paper. These companies need effective means of streamlining document workflow and extracting important knowledge accurately and efficiently.

A webinar series provided by Kodak, hosted by Roger Markham, Product Marketing Manager for Distributed Capture Products, United States & Canada, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group, offers insights on how document capture technology can help even the smallest companies meet the pressing issues of information management.

“With small to medium sized businesses leading the economic growth across the country, it’s important to recognize that the paper clutter problem will occur for these companies, just as it has for larger enterprises,” said Markham. “Through these seminars, we hope companies of all sizes will realize the value digital technology plays in creating effective document management solutions.”

Innovative technologies have emerged to address the increase in paper clutter and a heightened demand for accessible information. Markham’s first webinar, “New Technologies for Distributed Capture,” discusses the latest trends and options available to customers, on April 16 at 1 p.m. EDT. With the number of options increasing to meet the demand for distributed capture products, Markham provides tips on what to look for in an affordable and useful document scanner.

The series’ second webinar, “Best Practices for Distributed Capture and Network Scanning,” will uncover some of the hidden benefits of document capture, including decreased physical storage space, increased information sharing across an organization, and more. Markham hosts this revealing look at business solutions made possible by document capture on April 30 at 1 p.m. EDT.

Markham’s third webinar on May 7, 1 p.m. EDT, “The Changing Landscape of Network Scanning,” examines the growing sub segment of network scanning. Network scanning enables everyone in the office to use dedicated capture devices to easily send, share and save digitally converted documents. The KODAK Scan Station 100 Scanner is one example of how many businesses have affordably and easily used a document capture solution to immediately improve workflow processes.

The final webinar on May 14 at 1 p.m. EDT explores the capabilities of image capture software, with a focus on the benefits of new KODAK Capture Pro Software. The enhanced software suite provides Kodak customers with advanced image processing functions and tools to extract more information from each scanned document.
