JAHR TOP SPECIAL VERLAG is successfully publishing all its journals and special editions using QuarkXPress 7

Thursday 03. April 2008 - Quark's prize-winning page layout and design software is being adopted by Europe's leading publisher of outdoor, sport and leisure magazines

Quark announced today that JAHR TOP SPECIAL VERLAG – the European leader in the “special interest” magazines sector – is publishing its periodical printed media and numerous special editions using QuarkXPress 7.

JAHR TOP SPECIAL VERLAG is a joint venture between publishing houses JAHR (Alexander Jahr) and top special (Axel Springer AG). At its headquarters in Hamburg, some 160 employees produce 22 periodicals, including AngelWoche with a circulation of 68,428 copies, Blinker with a circulation of 73,388 and fotoMAGAZIN with a circulation of 49,732 copies, along with the journals tauchen, segeln, GOLFmagazin and other titles on outdoor, sport and leisure interests.

Only recently JAHR TOP SPECIAL VERLAG updated its entire environment with new Intel based Mac Pros for magazine production. Afterwards, all departments involved in the production process successfully tested QuarkXPress 7 in the workflow, before the change-over was completed.
