SEAL Graphics adds 20 new inkjet products

Wednesday 02. April 2008 - Ever expanding range launched at Fespa digital

Recognising the ability of inkjet printers to print on an ever-widening range of mate-rials and that the world of inkjet printing itself is opening up newer and newer appli-cations, SEAL Graphics, a world leader in image and print finishing solutions, has added a further 20 inkjet substrates to its range of consumables.

Conceived so that users can create vivid and inspirational finished products span-ning a host of applications for indoor and outdoor use – from pop-ups to banners to rigid and flexible displays – the materials include new vinyls, papers, polyester fab-rics, cotton fabrics and digital wallpapers as well as an environmentally-friendly banner material made of 100 per cent corn.

Textiles
This last fabric – SEAL’s Solvent Corn Banner – has an excellent inkjet coating enabling it to offer the same print quality achieved with polyesters. As well as corn inks, it is printable with all current solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks.

Other textiles – such as Solvent Cotton Coarse and Cotton Fine – newly avail-able include 100 per cent cotton fabrics in either a heavy or light linen weave that offer fast drying times, a soft touch and brilliant colour reproduction. They, too, can be printed using solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks.

Vinyls and polyesters
Notable among the new vinyls and polyester films is Solvent Vinyl Quickmount, an 80 micron, monomeric vinyl with a dot-structured adhesive that enables fast, easy and bubble-free appliance to virtually any surface. Designed for rigid indoor

applications such as exhibition walls, the unique dot coating of the glue also makes it extremely easy to remove the graphic at the end of its use.

For outdoor use, SEAL Graphics’ new Solvent Mesh PVC offers both durability and stability alongside vibrant colour rendition. It is an excellent choice for building wraps and banner applications.

Returning indoors again, SEAL Graphics’ popular Stoplight backing films have been complemented with Solvent Stoplight 400, a new 400 micron addition to the family that combines the unique light-blocking properties of Stoplight with a univer-sal coating making it suitable for all kinds of solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks. Besides excellent print qualities, this scratch- and water-resistant polyester provides the rigidity and opacity required for Pop-Up and flexible indoor displays.

Digital Wallpapers
SEAL Digital Wallpapers have been designed for wide format digital print applica-tions. They consist of a white PVC coating on a woven fabric base and can be used with solvent and eco-solvent, as well as UV-curable, inks. Besides superior print quality and vibrant long-lasting colours, these digital wallpapers are scratch-resistant and come with a NFPA 701 fire rating.
They are available in four contemporary textures: Soft Satin, Crushed Rock, Raw Silk and Venetian Plaster. All are easily applied wallpapers requiring no special skills or tools. For additional protection and longevity in heavily traffic-ed areas, they are also ideal for finishing with liquid lamination using the range of AquaSEAL coaters and liquid laminates.

These and other newly-launched materials have been created by SEAL Graphics to increase the freedom of expression to products they foresee users will seek and implement across a whole gamut of new uses; as well as bringing a new freshness to existing uses.
