TRELLEBORG PRINTING BLANKETS OFFERS FREE TECHNICAL ADVICE AT DRUPA
Friday 28. March 2008 - Visitors to the drupa stand of Trelleborg Printing Blankets, the manufacturer of the industry leading Vulcan series, will be able to ask any questions they have about print issues related to blankets, regardless of which make they use on their presses.
During the exhibition Trelleborg will have some of its top blanket experts available at a special technical talk area on the stand and visitors will be welcome to approach them for advice.
“With some fifty years of experience in manufacturing and supplying offset blankets around the world, Trelleborg is in a unique position to provide comprehensive information and guidance,” says Ken Branham, vice president sales and marketing. “There is no doubt that, as regards blankets, one of the big issues facing printers today is the lack of in-depth knowledge of some blanket suppliers, a situation that is becoming steadily worse with ever more new players on the market.
“At Trelleborg we firmly believe in providing customers with advice on choosing the right blanket for the job and ensuring they have a level of technical after-sales support that allows the greatest productivity from their presses. At drupa, printers will be able to speak to our blanket experts about subjects ranging from print problems and environmental issues, to how to pick the correct blanket or even how to use the blanket to reduce power consumption on the press.”
Vulcan blankets are available for every area of printing, with the range including versions for conventional, UV, hybrid and specialist printing. In addition to the commercial sheet-fed and packaging sectors, Vulcan blankets are used by a large proportion of commercial heatset and newspaper printers, an area where metal-backed and sleeve cylinder blankets are becoming increasingly popular.
