EskoArtwork strengthens its position in Japan
Thursday 13. March 2008 - Grand opening of new office in Tokyo sets the stage for continued growth
EskoArtwork, the global market leader in innovative design, pre-production, collaboration and finishing solutions for the packaging, commercial printing and sign and display industry, announces the relocation of its Tokyo office to a new and more spacious location. Serving as the central base for all Japanese operations, the move is a logical next step to support anticipated growth and better serve EskoArtworks expanding customer base across the region.
Based in the Shinjuku I-Land Tower in Tokyo, the new EskoArtwork office provides a strategic location for its sales, marketing, customer support and logistics activities. Equipped with a state-of-the-art demonstration facility and technical assistance center, it offers extensive support to customers, distribution channels and partners in Japan. Complementing this new office is the existing EskoArtwork office in Osaka, providing extended coverage of the Japanese market.
Carsten Knudsen, CEO EskoArtwork says: “Japan is a very important market for EskoArtwork, even more so since Esko joined forces with Artwork Systems last year. The Japanese market for flexible packaging strongly relies on gravure printing, where we have been able to consolidate our position through the former Artwork Systems. With the combined product portfolio of the new EskoArtwork, now equally capable of supporting offset, flexo, gravure and digital production, we are able to offer significant value to virtually any printing, packaging or publishing company out there. In order to handle the many new opportunities that await our Japanese organization in the near future, we have expanded our management team by appointing Mr. Hiroyuki Miyoshi alongside Mr. Kaz Yamada. Together, they will successfully drive our growth in Japan.” The company continues to serve an extensive customer base including most of the traditional converters and prepress houses as well as some of the most important Japanese brand owners.
Mr. Hiroyuki Miyoshi brings extensive experience to his new role. Prior to joining EskoArtwork, he worked in various management positions for Canon, Adobe and Apple Computer. Eager to share his knowledge and bring his vision to the business, he comments: “I am thrilled about joining the EskoArtwork management team and honored to work alongside Mr. Kaz Yamada to lead the new organization and expand upon EskoArtworks business successes in Japan. With EskoArtworks strong position in the Japanese market, I am confident we will be able to further develop from the companys healthy foundations.”
EskoArtwork Japan was founded in 1994 as a joint venture with distributor Altech. The company has recently expanded its direct sales team, which is complemented by a network of dedicated distributors such as NSK, one of EskoArtworks largest worldwide resellers, selling the EskoArtworks Kongsberg and ArtiosCAD product line and related workflow solutions and Sakata Inx who joined EskoArtwork after Eskos merger with Artwork Systems and supports the companys sales efforts as a reseller of a number of EskoArtworks software products.
“We now have in place a very strong organization that will take full advantage of EskoArtworks product strengths,” concludes Mr. Knudsen. “With this highly experienced team, our company will continue to broaden its extensive presence in the market. We look forward to EskoArtworks continued business successes in the Japanese market.”
