Presteligence Expands its Sales Team

Friday 07. March 2008 - Presteligence named Dave Pendergraft and Brian Bailey as Sales Managers and Steven Paul as Technical Sales Specialist.

Bailey returns to the company where he spent seven years at the start of his newspaper career and was an integral part of the technical sales and marketing of Presteligence’s flagship GUSS product. In his new role, Bailey will develop relationships with new and existing newspaper customers east of the Mississippi River in the United States and Canada.
Brian previously spent seven years in the commercial printing industry as a computer-to-plate and prepress workflow sales representative for Heidelberg. He aided over 120 companies in the transition from film and postscript workflows into ctp and modern pdf workflows.
“It’s great to have Brian back on the team.” says Bob Behringer, President and CEO of Presteligence. “Brian’s ties to our early workflow products coupled with his recent experience in ctp and pdf workflows in the commercial printing industry will be a tremendous resource to our team and our customers.”
Based out of Carmichael, California, Pendergraft will oversee sales of all Presteligence products within the western region of the U.S.

Dave spent nineteen years in printing pre-press from high-end commercial heatset and sheetfed operations to newspaper and open web facilities. Turning the tables to the supply side, Dave shared fifteen successful years in sales support and system sales. His focused sales momentum advanced his responsibilities to sales management, ultimately to district, regional, and national positions for newspaper-specific companies like Anitec, Autologic, Agfa and ProImage.

His diverse career background will serve Dave well as he is also charged with maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing Presteligence customers.

As Technical Sales Specialist, Steven Paul works with current customers and prospects to understand their needs and help set realistic expectations from sale to installation. He also demonstrates products, provides feedback to the sales force and product development teams, and bridges any gaps between sales and service.

Steven spent twenty years in the graphic arts industry and ultimately managed TV Guide’s weekly film and plate production. As he moved to the vendor side, his previous work in prepress production allowed him to empathize with those companies whose ultimate goal is to get the product printed. While at Creo/Kodak, his focus encompassed several market segments including commercial, packaging, and newspaper. He learned to appreciate newspapers as the most fun and interesting. He most recently worked at Vio/AdSend.

The new sales team members report directly to Paul Chandonnet, Vice President of Sales. “We are putting our best foot forward with this sales team,” says Chandonnet.” I am confident that the team’s knowledge and experience within the newspaper and printing industry will be outstanding assets to the company’s sales strategies.”

Pendergraft, Bailey, and Paul come to Presteligence with a combined 60+ years of experience in the newspaper printing/prepress and graphic arts industry.
