Friday 22. February 2008 - Involvement started with Letter of Intent

On 28 January 2008 MAN Roland joined the printing industry initiative for standardisation of UV and hybrid applications. From now on the press manufacturer will be driving developments in this field also within the working group.
MAN Roland is very keen to contribute its UV know-how to the initiative in order to support further developments in standardisation as well as optimisation of equipment and materials. The company’s membership was confirmed in a joint Letter of Intent signed by all three members of the
initiative – MAN Roland, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and Koenig & Bauer – at the druckforum held recently in Stuttgart. This document formulates the objectives of the cooperation in the field of certification and validation of equipment and materials for UV printing.
Very experienced in UV and hybrid printing
The establishment of universally applicable standards for UV and hybrid printing is very important to MAN Roland who will work within the initiative to achieve standardisation in UV and hybrid applications at a high level of quality. This is right in line with MAN Roland’s Value Added Printing philosophy which is aimed at providing printing companies and print buyers with the best possible solutions for production efficiency and product value.
