About.com Names New Vice Presidents of Sales

Friday 22. February 2008 - About.com, one of the 15 most visited Web sites in the U.S., announced today that it has named two new vice presidents of sales. Tracy Raiser has joined About.com as vice president of sales, Central Region, and Chris Sanders has been appointed vice president of sales, Western Region.

“Both Tracy and Chris bring a wealth of sales experience to About.com and possess the skills and determination required to lead our sales teams in these regions,” said Sheryl Goldstein, senior vice president, sales, About.com. “We are pleased to welcome Tracy and Chris to our team and confident that they will contribute to our continued success.”
Ms. Raiser brings more than 15 years of advertising and marketing experience to About.com. In her new role, Ms. Raiser will oversee the Central Region sales organization. She will also be responsible for managing and building a strategic sales team in this territory.
Prior to joining About.com, Ms. Raiser was an account director at America Online (AOL) where she managed a team of sales and support staff in the Midwest territory. Before working at AOL, Ms. Raiser also held marketing positions at various internet start-ups. She earned a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University and holds a B.A. in Communications from Purdue University.
As the Western Region’s vice president of sales, Mr. Sanders will be responsible for providing senior leadership and representation for About.com, while overseeing strategic sales efforts in that area.
Mr. Sanders also comes to About.com from AOL, where he served as a senior leader to the Northwestern sales organization for the past six years. Previously he held senior sales and marketing positions at Philips Electronics and Sony Electronics, Inc. A graduate of University of California, Mr. Sanders holds a dual B.A. in Economics and Sociology.
Ms. Raiser and Mr. Sanders will report to Sheryl Goldstein, senior vice president, sales.
