Tuesday 29. January 2008 - Risdon International announces the opening of a second manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico. The new plant will add production and assembly capacity to the packaging operations of Risdon’s other Reynosa plant including lipsticks, mascaras, compacts, fragrance caps, and lip gloss products in metal and plastics.

The plant will add a lacquer decorating line in 2008.
In addition to the new plant, Risdon has partnered with the neighboring Technimark facility for injection molding capabilities. Technimark will support both of Risdon’s Reynosa manufacturing sites.

“Our new Reynosa plant enhances Risdon’s ability to provide customers with greater efficiencies in delivering products that meet the most demanding launch schedules,” said Steve Pearlman, Risdon president. “The addition of the new Reynosa facility to our other North American and China manufacturing sites is yet another step in making Risdon the global leader in cosmetics packaging.”

Risdon’s new facility covers 35,000 square feet and employs about 35 workers. Risdon’s first Reynosa plant, opened in 2002, has approximately 130 employees, with 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Reynosa, Mexico, is located seven miles from McAllen, Texas.
