Format Announces Launch of Digital Publishing Seminars
Thursday 24. January 2008 - Developed by In Touch and Life & Style Veteran Publisher Bob Davidowitz; former Time Warner Electronic Publishing executive Andrew Lerner; and InConcert's former CEO Jeremy Davis
Format, whose clients include New York Magazine, Le Monde, Glamour, Field & Stream, and Guideposts, today announced the launch of its digital publishing seminars. The seminars were developed by Format’s partners — In Touch and Life & Style Veteran Publisher Bob Davidowitz; former Time Warner Electronic Publishing executive Andrew Lerner; and InConcert’s former CEO Jeremy Davis.
Format’s Partner Jeremy Davis says, “Our new seminars show publishers how to implement online solutions that incorporate digital strategies and products into the core of their businesses. The result is measured by a publisher’s ability to dramatically increase the amount of profitable revenue that can be generated from digital offerings.”
“The traditional advertising model is crumbling,” says Bob Davidowitz, Format, Partner. “Print-only campaigns are history and advertisers are demanding that publishers offer results-driven digital campaigns coupled with traditional marketing opportunities. With our new seminars, we review the most effective techniques in building campaigns for digital media and discuss the latest trends in online advertising.”
“Fast changing consumer expectations are placing media companies under intense pressure to create viable interactive businesses that compliment and in some cases replace their traditional business models,” said Andrew Lerner, Format, Partner. “Editors learn how to transition their brands from a pure print solution to an integrated model without compromising their print offerings.”
Davis has more than 25 years of experience in managing both early-stage and mature software companies. Previously, Davis was the CEO of two venture backed companies. Prior, Davis served as President and CEO of InConcert, Inc., Sales Technologies and Erisco.
Davidowitz has served as a senior-level magazine executive for 18 years. From 2004 to 2006 under Davidowitz’s leadership, the advertising revenues of In Touch and Life & Style grew 400%. In 2006, Bob earned an Advertising Age A list award for his work at In Touch. Previously, Davidowitz served as the Group Publisher for Rodale’s Sports Group.
Lerner has more than 18 years of experience working at the convergence of the media and software industries. Lerner founded, ran, and sold a venture backed company, Urban Data Solutions. For five years in the 1990’s, Lerner ran Time Warner Electronic Publishing. Previously, Lerner was the Editor-in- Chief at Welsh Publishing Group.
