FUJIFILM introduces Taskero Universe at drupa2008
Tuesday 22. January 2008 - FUJIFILM announces the concept a new colour consistency and quality control solution under the name "Taskero Universe". Whether it is traditional commercial printing, digital printing or even wide format printing, end users are demanding colour perfection from printers. More and more, printers are required to operate consistently to the highest possible quality standards, while still meeting increasingly tighter deadlines.
In an effort to help printers operate more efficiently and more consistently deliver what their customers need, FUJIFILM has developed Taskero Universe; a suite of diagnostic tools designed to put printers in control of their operations and confirm colour across a number of output devices and locations.
Designed to provide critical, up-to-date information on every part of the print production process, Taskero Universe monitors hardware from the prepress stage through to the pressroom, and offers a method for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining consistent quality across all parts of the print process. The diagnostic software alerts users to what is happening now, what happened previously, and what will happen next. Taskero Universe consists of three components:
ColorPath Verified: This web enabled module allows users to set standards (for example SWOP, FOGRA, JapanColor, and customer defined) for colour consistency across a variety of devices, including monitors, inkjet and digital halftone proofers, CTP devices and printing presses, and to monitor operation against these standards. It securely maintains all records and tracks data, providing important benchmarks and identifying trends that can affect colour, generating real time information and reports via the Internet.
Server Performance Management: This module ensures each customers server is performing properly and efficiently. FUJIFILM has partnered with industry-leading manufacturers to create a proactive solution aimed at optimising server performance.
Hardware Performance Management: The module monitors both hardware and the environment (for example the Luxel range of thermal and violet CTP systems. FLH-Z processor, temperature and humidity and so on), giving users early notification of possible problems and enabling them to take action before the problem unexpectedly stops production. It delivers real time information about the status of print performance and also alerts users to scheduled routine maintenance.
Taskero Universe has been available in the United States market since summer 2007 and will be made available to the World Wide market after drupa 2008.
