Biopack Completes South African Trial Run

Monday 14. January 2008 - Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: BPEV) is pleased to announce the completion of the trial run for the benefit of its South African representative AGQPE.

The trial run was of specially designed trays intended for use in a variety of food packaging applications. Biopack has also received through AGQPE an expression of interest in the company’s products from a large international fast food corporation. Biopack is in the late phases of working with this large chain to effectuate the final look and design of these trays.
The first phase of production for AGQPE is scheduled to begin immediately at Biopack’s newly opened Biopark production facility. Two tray styles are to be produced with initial demand estimated at 1.5 million units per month. Biopack anticipates that as production capacity increases over the following months, production should expand to six different tray styles for AGQPE and its clients at a production volume of approximately six million pieces per month, or over 72 million pieces per year.
