M-real shows comprehensive range of wallpaper base at Heimtextil Exhibition in Frankfurt
Friday 11. January 2008 - M-real, the worlds leading producer of wallpaper base, is showing its extensive product range at Heimtextil 2008, including duplex and simplex wallpaper base as well as non-woven products for special applications.
M-real provides a wide range of wallpaper base products for imaginative and practical designs of all types of wallcoverings, and is launching a brand new coated woodfree product for wallcovering end use.
“Wallpaper is back in the minds of the consumer, after a steady decline across all major markets in Western Europe and North America,” says Ilkka Mutka, VP Speciality Papers Business, M-real Consumer Packaging. “The trend is now changing, and wallpaper is gaining more and more in popularity, with new and fashionable designs being featured regularly in interiors and home magazines.”
M-real Kyro mills PM3 (paper machine 3) is dedicated completely to wallpaper base production, having a total capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year. Investment by M-real in modern technology has resulted in continuous quality developments, allowing it to meet its customers expectations and introduce new products such as the non-woven grades.
M-real will also demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, taking into account equally the environment, people, and economics. All M-real mills hold chain of custody certification from forest to product, and support the use of certified wood. M-real continues to reduce emissions and energy consumption in production.
