EPSON ANNOUNCES THE PRINT ACADEMY

Thursday 10. January 2008 - Epson offers users the chance to unlock the potential of their printer

Epson announces The Print Academy, a training day specifically designed for users who want to get the best out of their Epson printer. It is led by Jonathan Briggs, former Managing Director of the Association of Imaging Techniques. Jonathan has a wealth of experience working with Epson printers and associated software across the design, imaging and photographic sectors.

The Epson Print Academy provides expert guidance on the fundamentals of image capture, processing and print workflow. Subjects covered during the day include colour perception, the use of RAW versus JPEG files, Photoshop colour management settings, printer driver options, using ICC output profiles to print and black & white printing. There is also a ‘hands on’ question and answers session with the Epson experts.

The Epson Print Academy was initially designed for purchasers of the Stylus Pro 3800, a desktop A2+ 8 colour printer, but the course proved so popular it has been extended to cover a broader range of Epson printers, including the A3+ consumer photo printers. One attendee said of the Print Academy “Filled some very important gaps in my knowledge.” Another said “I went away with a very good basis for using my R2400 much more efficiently.”

The Print Academy is held at Epson’s headquarters in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The day starts at 09.30, includes refreshments and a light lunch and finishes around 14.00. The course costs £56.40 including VAT.
