Dutch Delight: Roland DG reports back on a successful FESPA Global Print Expo 2024
Tuesday 11. June 2024 - The event, which ran from March 19th to March 22nd, saw Roland DG unveil an array of cutting-edge printers, including several newly launched machines and the showcase of its recently established subsidiary, DG DIMENSE.
Roland DG, a leading global manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, was thrilled to announce its participation and showcase at the FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 in Amsterdam.
New Machines Unveiled:
VersaOBJECT CO-i Series: This new flatbed range of UV printers from the VersaOBJECT Series redefines direct printing on three-dimensional objects with unparalleled productivity and wpremium finishes. With the capability to accommodate objects up to 242 mm in height and 100 kg/m2 in weight, this printer opens up endless possibilities for object personalisation. Whether it’s official-sized basketballs or cabin luggage, the CO-i series effortlessly caters to a wide array of three-dimensional applications, ensuring seamless customisation with exceptional quality.
VersaOBJECT MO-240: The MO-240 UV Inkjet printer, the latest addition to the VersaOBJECT series, is designed to elevate direct printing on three-dimensional objects with unprecedented productivity. Unlike other solutions on the market, the MO-240 can handle almost any material with heights up to 204mm and a printing area of 610 x 458mm.
VersaSTUDIO BD-8: The ideal solution for small businesses, the new VersaSTUDIO BD-8 stands out as a versatile UV printer capable of high-definition direct printing on diverse shapes and materials. With an optional rotary axis, it effortlessly prints on cylindrical objects like bottles and lipsticks – expanding applications for printshops.
VersaSTUDIO BY-20: The VersaSTUDIO BY-20, a water-based printer utilising the DTF transfer method, enhances the design and efficiency of apparel goods production. By printing on a specialised film and applying hot-melt powder thermally, this technology simplifies the process of layering the film onto fabric and heat-pressing it to craft original T-shirts, sportswear, and more.
The introduction of DG DIMENSE:
At the event, Roland DG showcased the newly acquired DG DIMENSE’s specialist machinery, including the Dimensor S printer, combining inkjet technology with a calendar unit to achieve simultaneous printing and embossing in a single pass.
Attendees also got a chance to see DG DIMENSE’s exclusive line of PVC-free media, which is friendly to both the environment and people. Several finishes of media are available, including matte, suede, metallic silver, metallic gold, pearlescent, and chameleon, enabling the production of a wide variety of interior decorations with unique, unrepeated texture, including wallpaper, canvases, as well as point-of-purchase materials.
