Graphco and SD-Italy are Hybridizing Cut at The ISA Sign Expo with CNC Routing & Cutting Solution
Friday 08. March 2024 - Graphco will provide live demonstrations of the Augusta F150R Pro during the three-day event. The Augusta F150R Pro will put the spotlight on SD-Italys technological advantage by producing personalized, digitally cut samples in their VIP Demos in the booth.
Graphco, the exclusive distributor for SD-Italy’s complete Augusta line of hybrid CNC routing & cutting solutions for the signage market, announces they will be exhibiting at the ISA International Sign Expo 2024. Under the theme Hybridizing Cut, Graphco will introduce SD-Italy in the North American signage market at the annual ISA event to be held in Orlando, FL on April 10-12, 2024.
SD-Italy”Graphco is proud to bring a strong new competitor from Europe to the CNC routing & cutting market in North America,” states Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “We are hybridizing cut by introducing a true hybrid cutting solution that fills a unique gap in signage manufacturing that not only cuts and mills, but we are also offering CNC controlled welding capabilities, drilling & tapping of sign brackets which creates a one-of-a-kind solution.”
As a prelude to the international launch of other game-changing technology at Drupa, the theme Hybridizing Cut will take on special meaning with demonstrations that go beyond cutting. Visitors to the booth will also learn more about the welding capabilities that address a wider scope of needs for sign manufacturers and installers. “We will also highlight a unique drilling & tapping process that demonstrates why the SD-Italy Augusta F150R is THE machine for heavy-duty signage applications,” states Manley. All of these features are unique to the SD-Italy Augusta F150R Pro being shown at ISA.
In addition, live demonstrations will utilize varied substrates such as multiple versions of forex, Alucobond, aluminum, plexiglass, plywood, high and medium density foam, and corrugated board produced consecutively without any operator intervention.
Representatives from SD-Italy will be on-site to provide a deeper dive into the technology and applications that are dominating these varied market segments. The engineering behind the Augusta line of products redefines CNC routing and cutting in a variety of ways. The Augusta F150R Pro boasts operating speeds of over 6.5 feet-per-second with nearly 2G acceleration from cut position to cut position. The F150R Pro also offers Electro Spindle drives sized up to 13 kW, which allows users to take full advantage of the units 6″ cutting depth by removing huge portions of very tough-to-cut materials.
“As we all know, the ability to find craftspeople to operate traditional (old fashioned) routers is getting harder and harder. Graphco is thrilled to offer our Augusta F150R Pro with up to 25 fully automated tools on board, and this powerful machine features up to 4 work groups that are fully automated so our customers can staff their routers with newer operators,” continues Manley. “The 4 work groups on the 15’ table we will exhibit even brings 12 tools along using our Revolver technology, so even complex multi-step jobs can be done on one side of the table while the operator is unloading finished product on the other side. This can more than double output of thick, rigid, and hard-to-cut materials that often go into complex signage.”
“We look forward to demonstrating to the Sign Industry a new way to produce the most complex signage applications during the 3 days of the ISA Show. From routing the hardest and thickest materials at high speed, to drilling & tapping the mounting brackets, and even spot welding the screws into very complex signs, the SD-Italy Augusta F150R Pro offers capabilities that are just not available elsewhere and at a total cost that would surprise most customers,” concludes Manley. “See you at booth 638, and stop into our Airstream travel trailer for some refreshments during the show.”
