Esko and Enfocus to showcase 2021 innovations at virtual.drupa
Wednesday 10. March 2021 - Esko and Enfocus have confirmed that they will be jointly participating in this years virtual.drupa event to offer customers around the world insights into the hardware and software innovations in the companies current portfolios.
Wim Fransen, Vice President Global Marketing & Software Product Management at Esko, explains, “virtual.drupa provides us with the perfect forum to showcase our next-generation technology developments for the packaging industry. Through webinars, videos and presentations, we will provide information on our latest software releases and showcase our new ‘Cloud Freedom’ strategy.”
“The move from server-based software applications to software models that use a service hosted in the cloud as a subscription (‘SaaS’) offers a number of benefits to our customers in the packaging, labels and wide-format prepress and finishing sectors alike. We will showcase examples of Esko software solutions for which both models are now available, and will offer insights into the benefits of the Esko Cloud.”
“In particular, we will use virtual.drupa as a platform where we will unveil the result of our collaboration with Asahi Photoproducts, which we announced last year. The companies have collaborated on the development of a new automated flexo plate making solution and on 21 April the two companies will come together to unveil the ground-breaking technology in a live webinar.”
For Esko brand customers, the team will offer a webinar on 2021 packaging trends and the need for a more efficient future, presented by Stephen Kaufman, vice president, business development and strategy, packaging and colour. Esko will discuss the significant impact of today’s e-commerce and the increasingly important need for effective 3D and connective technologies, and provide insights into how brands can smartly adapt to new and evolving consumer trends by investing in the right packaging software technology.
Tomas Van Rossom, General Manager of Enfocus, comments, “It’s an exciting time for Enfocus and drupa is always a great opportunity to connect with our old and new customers. This year we will be unveiling the benefits of BoardingPass, our new software solution that allows customer-facing staff to quickly check incoming PDF files for issues that would cause printing to stop.”
“Furthermore, we will be showcasing Switch, the rebel movement of print automation that provides an open platform for workflow automation and eliminates limitations for print professionals who do not want to adapt to comprehensive, vendor-specific workflow solutions. In addition to this presentation, we will provide a demonstration on PitStop Server as an entry-level automation solution. Coupled with our software version updates for PitStop Pro, PitStop Server, Switch and Connect 2021, it’s very clear that we have a wonderful Enfocus line-up to present at virtual.drupa!”
The prestigious print industry show, which runs from 20-23 April 2021, will offer visitors the opportunity to view videos and presentations, as well as participate in live and recorded webinars with experts in the relevant topics.
