Sappi: Innovation talks on the blue couch
Friday 30. October 2020 - Sappi, the global paper manufacturer, announces Blue Couch - a new monthly video format with exciting guests covering innovation, trend topics and strategies in the field of Packaging and Speciality Papers. The first episode will be broadcast on Wednesday, 4 November 2020 at 10 a.m. (CET) on www.sappi-bluecouch.com.
In times when numerous trade fairs are postponed or cancelled altogether, creativity is the order of the day. Sappi – market leader in the field of sustainable packaging papers and special papers as well as graphic papers – does not want to wait for the next real event either, but will soon be launching a brand new video format: From 4 November 2020, Sappi “Blue Couch” will provide insights into the groundbreaking innovations with which the company intends to further expand its leading position among paper manufacturers with three episodes for the time being.
The format is in the style of a talk show: A presenter and selected experts from Sappi Europe present new packaging solutions and discuss overarching social issues such as sustainability or the impact of Covid-19.
Start on 4 November with Berry Wiersum and Sarah Price
The first episode on 4 November 2020 at 10 a.m. (CET) will revolve around the topic of paper and sustainability. Berry Wiersum, CEO of Sappi Europe, and Sustainability Manager Sarah Price will provide insights into some of the most pressing social and environmental issues facing society today and explain how Sappi and fibre-based materials are positioned to respond to them.
The second episode, to be broadcast on 2 December 2020, will focus on innovation and its importance for sales – especially when it comes to continually sharpening customer relationships and customer value. Guests at the “Blue Couch” will be: Thomas Kratochwill, Vice President Sales & Marketing Packaging and Speciality Papers, Sappi Europe, and Sappi Europe’s Director of Innovation, Bernardo Semadeni.
The third episode on 3 February 2021 with Sales Director Consumer Goods and Self Adhesives, Sappi Europe, Michael Bethge and Rene Koehler, Head of Business Development Packaging Solutions, Division Innovation & Sustainability, Sappi Europe, will focus on the paper (r)evolution of the packaging industry.
