Ricoh becomes one of the largest AV and workplace integrators in Europe through the acquisition of DataVision
Wednesday 02. September 2020 - Customers will have access to an even wider range of technology for conference rooms, workstations and digital collaboration. The acquisition follows Ricohs strategy to accelerate its transformation into a Digital Services Company. Ricoh strengthens its technology offering for meeting rooms, workstations and digital collaboration through the acquisition of DataVision.
Founded in 1995, DataVision is a leading integrator of audio-visual (AV), conference room and workspace technologies. DataVision employs over 100 people and is represented at eight service and sales locations in Germany. The head office is located in Düsseldorf. DataVision specialises in the design and integration of modern conference room and workplace solutions, including Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC), audiovisual (AV) technologies and solutions for workplace and meeting room management. The company has over 1,300 customers and serves 15 of the 30 DAX-listed companies in Germany as well as numerous large ministries. In addition, DataVision has numerous strategic partnerships in the area of collaboration, AV and workplace technology. For example, the company was recently named by Microsoft as one of their “Global Partners of the Year 2020” and is also their preferred partner for Microsoft Teams Rooms Premium in Germany.
As a result of this acquisition, Ricoh customers throughout Europe will benefit from DataVision’s vast experience and expertise in the business and technology areas mentioned above. In addition, they will gain access to an even broader portfolio of products, software and services and also benefit from the advantages and innovation of working with strategic partners such as Microsoft.
DataVision’s customers benefit from Ricoh’s global reach, financial strength and integrated service infrastructure. They also gain access to products and solutions from Ricoh’s Communication Services portfolio and other Ricoh business areas, such as Managed Document Services, IT Services, Business Process Services and Production Printing Services.
DataVision will continue as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh under its existing company name – DataVision Deutschland GmbH.
