DATEV increases productivity with the HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press in B2 format

Wednesday 04. March 2020 - DATEV eG is expanding its company-wide printer fleet with an HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press, thereby increasing productivity in the Digital & Print Solution Center. The software and IT service provider for tax consultants, auditors and lawyers and their mostly medium-sized clients has been relying on the print quality of HP Indigo for more than ten years. With the installation of the HP Indigo 12000, the Nuremberg-based company can now also benefit from this quality in B2 format.

DATEV eG uses the HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press mainly for the production of commercial jobs such as brochures, flyers and catalogues. Virtually any material can be printed on the HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press. Tools for automation and intelligent impositioning also increase efficiency. “With the HP Indigo 12000, we are taking a big leap forward. With the B2 format, we are achieving a huge increase in productivity and can handle more jobs at once. The options we have in terms of substrate selection are also unique,” said Robert Gebhard, DATEV’s High Quality Design, Print & Finishing Department Manager.
However, the quality of the colour reproduction was a key factor in our decision to invest in an HP Indigo 12000. After an intensive test phase, Robert Gebhard was convinced: “With the HP Indigo and its seven colour stations, we can cover an extremely high colour gamut – including the two difficult-to- reproduce shades of green of our company logo.
With the HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press and the leap to B2 format, DATEV is now able to offer new applications such as six-page brochures, pocket folders, posters and book covers.
