First BOBST, AMETEK MOCON and RDM Test Equipment collaborative Learnshop is a resounding success
Friday 25. May 2018 - The first Permeation and Barrier Materials Learnshop to be hosted jointly by BOBST, AMETEK MOCON and RDM Test Equipment was held on 16th May at BOBSTs Centre of Excellence for High Barrier in Manchester, UK and saw around 50 visitors from the UK and overseas.
The day consisted of technical presentations from a variety of experts in the field of permeation and barrier including speakers from the University of Oxford, Fraunhofer Institute, National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester and Amcor, as well as Dr Charles Bishop an expert in the vacuum coating industry. There was also a presentation from PepsiCo giving a brand owners perspective on packaging and barrier requirements. Additionally AMETEK MOCON and BOBST gave presentations on permeation and barrier solutions respectively. The day finished with a closing speech from Eric Pavone, Business Development Director of BOBST Business Unit-web-fed.
Attendees also had the opportunity to network with the speakers and other participants as well as viewing the latest test equipment from AMETEK MOCON and finding out more about BOBST barrier solutions via the table top displays which were available to view during the breaks.
This event was the first step in a new collaboration between BOBST, AMETEK MOCON and RDM which will see a similar event held every two years at Bobst Manchesters facility.
