Double digital print investment for First Impression Labels
Monday 09. April 2018 - The South African label printer and converter has added a ROTOCON Ecoline RDF-330 and Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ to their digital capability repertoire
First Impression Labels (FIL), a renowned printer and converter in South Africa’s label printing industry recently made two additional investments in digital capability through ROTOCON. Purchased was a ROTOCON Ecoline RDF-330 for digital label converting and finishing and a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ UV inkjet label press.
Vaughan Cumming, FIL owner and operations director and Pascal Aengenvoort, ROTOCON director”For many years, FIL has turned to ROTOCON as a trusted and resourceful partner for our technology investments in label printing and converting,” said Vaughan Cumming, FIL owner and operations director. “We embraced digital label production four years ago with the continent’s very first Screen Truepress Jet press, and haven’t looked back.”
Part of ROTOCON’s own Ecoline brand of finishing machines, the RDF-330 provides servo-driven digital label converting and finishing. For FIL, the solution features a full-rotary flexo print unit, cold foil/lamination unit and a die cutting station that can be used in semi- or full-rotary mode. The new Screen Truepress L350UV+ press pushes the envelope in terms of productivity, sharing a host of fresh features developed by Screen for high-end, high-speed label production. With a production speed increased to 60 metres per minute, the L350UV+ system offers superior productivity, substrate compatibility, colour reproduction, operability and other advanced features.
FIL also specializes in high-quality, flexographic printing for the shrink-sleeve, wraparound, roll-fed and self-adhesive label market.
