Hybrid Services to return to The Print Show this year after excellent event in 2017

Wednesday 31. January 2018 - Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor for Mimaki in the UK and Ireland, has confirmed that it will return to The Print Show this year after an impressive showing during its debut appearance at the event in 2017. Organisers have also released the details of the 2017 shows top winner of its annual Golden Ticket prize draw.

The Print Show 2018 will take place from September 18th to 20th at the NEC in Birmingham and organisers have already announced a series of major signings, including HP, Vivid Laminating Technologies, AMS, CMYUK, Axzyra, Kluge International, Signmaster Systems, and D&K Europe. With 27 exhibitors already and the floorplan filling up fast, it has been the most successful first quarter for The Print Show since it was founded in 2014.
The Hybrid Services stand was one of the key highlights at The Print Show 2017, after the company opted to use the event to launch two new Mimaki machines in the UCJV150-160 and UCJV300-160. The company has this year taken on a larger stand as it looks to build on its success in 2017.
John de la Roche, national sales manager at Hybrid Services, comments: “As Mimaki’s exclusive distributor, we had an excellent show last year, using it as the platform to launch the incredible UCJV Series printer/cutters and are fully anticipating this year’s to be a similarly great opportunity to reach existing and prospective customers—especially within the commercial printing sector.
“Hybrid has increased its stand space by about a third, and a number of our resellers have already committed to the show so we’re expecting another substantial Mimaki presence in 2018.
“Mimaki’s product line-up sports an incredible variety of ink technologies including LED UV, solvent, textile and water based machines and our stand will represent this with a range of systems on display.”
Although Hybrid Services is still in the initial planning stage for The Print Show, de la Roche did reveal that the company will display a number of solutions that demonstrate Mimaki’s ability to cater for a number of key markets.
“Exhibitions like The Print Show are always a great opportunity to launch new technology and with Mimaki’s reputation as an innovation-led manufacturer, we’ll have a stand full of the company’s very latest print solutions,” de la Roche says.
He adds: “We’re keen to enable visitors to investigate new business opportunities and with the breadth of capability we have within Mimaki’s product range, there are very few print-related needs that we can’t offer a solution for.
“The Print Show is a great platform to engage with the industry. The extra space we’ve committed to allows us to bring further new and innovative Mimaki products to the exhibition, expanding the range of solutions on display and offering a greater variety of ideas with which to inspire visitors.”
I’ve got a Golden Ticket!
Regular visitors to The Print Show will know all about the special Golden Ticket competition, which offers those in attendance the chance to win some fabulous prizes, including a brand new printer. The Golden Ticket giveaway will return again this year, and taking part is as easy as ever.
Those that pre-register for The Print Show 2018 will be sent a Golden Ticket in the post, personalised with their name and unique ID number. All you have to do is bring this with you to the event, hand it to one of our team when you sign in and listen out for the competition announcements during the event.
Someone who knows all about the value of the Golden Ticket is Daniel Evans, director of UK Print and Promotions, who last year won a new Epson SureColor SC-T5200 after being named as the big winner on day two of The Print Show 2018.
Speaking about his win, Evans says he intends to use the printer to help expand his business and enter new markets: “We’ll be using the printer on work such as mounted print on board, which will be perfect for us.
“We’ll also be using it for roller banners, which, at the moment, we tend to outsource to other companies. It’s great to have an Epson printer so we can do this in-house and ensure greater quality.”
Evans also paid tribute to how valuable his visit to The Print Show proved to be: “I came to the show to touch base with a few people, find out what’s going on and to generally keep up-to-date with the new technology. There are so many suppliers here that you can get more information from.
“It’s a fantastic show. Walking around, there are so many suppliers that we know and some we have never heard of, so getting to know them will certainly benefit me and the business in the future.”
