Changde Goldroc Co. – Changde, China relocates

Wednesday 20. December 2017 - With four BOBST rotary gravure packaging production lines and a thousand employees, Changde Goldroc is a major player in the Chinese tobacco industry.

As part of a plant reorganization, the company asked BOBST to relocate one of its LEMANIC lines and to upgrade some of its on-board systems. This included adding a new Registron S 6100 register control system to the press. “It was important to us that the machine move and upgrade went well,” says Mr Liu Jianfeng, equipment supervisor at the plant. “We trust Bobst because they are the top brand in the industry. The relocation and upgrade was carried out very professionally.”

The Registron S 6100 is the only register control system which measures variations in web elongation and tension before the mis-register occurs and makes preventive corrections. “It is a very clever system and with it we have less downtime and less waste. With the relocation and upgrades we have got back the productivity of the machine, extended its life and ensured stable quality,” explains Mr Liu.
