Monday 11. December 2017 - Flexibility, affordability and profitability are key attributes Mimaki will demonstrate using high quality digital printing technologies

Mimaki, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutting systems, today announced that it will be exhibiting at PSI 2018, the leading European trade show for the promotional product industry. The event is scheduled for 9 to 11 January 2018 at Messe Düsseldorf. Mimaki will be located in Hall 12, Stand B17. On display will be one of the industry’s broadest arrays of solutions for digitally printing on promotional items, as well as examples of 3D printed promotional items, making this innovative stand a must-see at the show. The stand will be configured to represent a mini promotional item factory, showing visitors how easy and affordable it is to create their own promotional shop using versatile Mimaki solutions.

“Our 104-square-meter stand is designed to realistically simulate a company or factory environment that produces a wide range of promotional items 24/7,” says Ronald van den Broek, General Manager Sales at Mimaki Europe. “Whether it is seamless 360-degree printing on cylindrical items such as bottles using the Mimaki Kebab option, decorating phone covers, or printing with flexible ink on materials that stretch or bend, visitors will find the solutions they need to ensure competitive advantage.”

World’s broadest array of digital promotional printing solutions

At the show, Mimaki will demonstrate how digital printing solutions are set to revolutionise the printing of promotional items. With these creative solutions on show, visitors will be inspired to push the limits of digital printing to quickly, affordably and sustainably produce unique, high quality promotional items that will set them apart in the marketplace. On display will be:

The Mimaki UJF-7151plusprinting on phone covers of different sizes, as well as acrylic keychains. The UJF-7151plus is a compact UV LED direct- to-object printer. It utilises state-of-the-art technology to deliver a powerful and reliable digital alternative to traditional screen print operations. With a print resolution of up to 1200 dpi, the UJF-7151plus features a 710 x 510 mm printable area. The machine uses process, white and clear inks plus primer. A Trotec laser cutting machine will be shown cutting the acrylic for the keychains.
The Mimaki UJF-3042MkII and UJF-6042MkII. The UJF-3042MkII and the UJF-6042MkII are the latest generation of UV flatbed printers from Mimaki. The printers feature multiple ink options and support a wide range of applications, such as LUS-120 inks that can stretch up to 170% for printing on soft material surfaces like wallet smartphone cases. LUS-150 inks have 150% stretchability and are compatible with a wide range of materials. The LH-100 rigid inks are perfect for accessories or stationery products that must stand up to high levels of abrasion, as well as for printing on glass, metal and resins. At the show, these printers will be printing on power packs, pens, aluminium bottles and leatherette notebooks.
The UCJV300-160. This integrated roll-to-roll UV LED printing and cutting solution includes a unique 4-layer Day/Night printing capability and internal lighting system that enables two different images on the same sign – one image appears when the sign is backlit and another when it is not.
“Mimaki solutions for digitally printing promotional items have so many advantages,” van den Broek adds. “We believe visitors will be surprised and inspired at the range of materials we can print on. One exceptional capability of our machines is the ability to print on uneven surfaces, such as printing on the edges of a phone cover, without a noticeable reduction in quality. Our LD mode allows printing on an uneven surface with up to 4,5 mm difference in media thickness, and we believe this is quite rare in the industry. We look forward to discussing new business opportunities with visitors to our stand!”
