EFI Demonstrates Commitment to the APAC Region with Innovative Technology at New HQ and at the Shanghai AD & Sign Expo
Thursday 10. March 2016 - Electronics For Imaging (Nasdaq:EFII) is showcasing its broad, innovative portfolio responsible for driving its customers continued success in China, exhibiting new print technologies at the Shanghai International AD & Sign Expo and at a customer open house to introduce print professionals to the new regional EFI Customer Experience Centre.
EFIs exhibit at the March 9-12 exhibition is in hall 3, stand A-0275, and includes the first showing in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region of the 3.2-metre EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro hybrid roll/flatbed LED inkjet printer, a device that is a leading production-class LED
inkjet graphics printer with fast throughput of up to 318 square metres per hour. The printer also offers high-resolution greyscale imaging. Plus, the printers greener, “cool cure” LED technology significantly reduces energy usage and costs while giving users the ability to print on a wider range of media, including substrates that cannot withstand the heat of other curing or drying methods.
The newest-version EFI Fiery proServer driving the VUTEk printer at the exhibition boosts productivity and quality well beyond a typical printer RIP. This upgraded Fiery digital front end platform gives customers the power to process print files 60% faster than earlier versions of the proServer.
EFI Reggiani print samples also are on display at the exhibition, highlighting the important new opportunities printing companies can capture using digital textile printing as a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative to other textile imaging processes. The EFI Reggiani printing display – which is presented by EFI distribution partner Chemtax Industrial in the north hall, stand NH-0187 – represents the quality and versatility possible with EFIs newest fabric soft-signage printers and industrial printers for décor and apparel applications.
EFI is also showing for the first time in the region the EFI H1625-SD, an entry-level, 1.65-metre UV hybrid production printer that uses award-winning EFI SuperDraw UV ink for near-photographic imaging direct to thermoformable substrates. The printer runs four colours plus white with high-quality greyscale imaging.
Another new product, the EFI Matan 8QW printer, is being shown in China for the first time. It is an advanced roll-to-roll inkjet product that gives users the ability to create beautiful images for indoor and outdoor applications with patented, seven-colour Parallel Drop Size technology and white printing. The 5-metre printer runs at speeds of up to 353 square metres per hour, offers high-quality imaging at 600 dpi, and features advanced, optional features that increase productivity, minimise waste, reduce labour and provide unrivalled ease of use.
“EFI customers in China are constantly redefining the ways our inkjet technologies can help develop new services and drive growth for printing companies,” said Stephen Green, EFIs APAC vice president of sales. “EFI is again demonstrating its strong commitment to this region, with increased technology and infrastructure investments, as well as new product launches. This is a vital market for us, and we are excited about the opportunity to showcase what we have to offer to the regions growing base of innovative print entrepreneurs.”
Open House for EFIs Brand-new Shanghai Facility
A short distance away from the exhibition, EFI is also hosting printers at a March 8-12 open house to introduce the industry to its new APAC regional headquarters and Customer Experience Centre in Shanghai.
The new facility, located in the Caohejing Pujiang Hi-Tech Park in Shanghais MinHang District, features many of EFIs top technologies for printing companies, including 2-, 3.2- and 5-metre EFI VUTEk HS and GS series printers, new EFI SuperRange ink for high-end, out-of-home and display roll-to-roll applications, and the top-selling EFI H1625 LED 1.65-metre hybrid roll/flatbed printer.
