Ricoh Europe Expands Operations to the Middle East
Wednesday 18. February 2015 - Ricoh Europe today announced it is expanding its operations to the Middle East as part of Ricoh's overall strategy to more directly support customers and partners in key emerging markets globally. Ricoh's head office in the Middle East will be based in Dubai and will support the entire region with solutions that meet local needs and the demand for new digital office solutions.
David Mills, CEO of Ricoh Europe, said: “Opening this office in Dubai will help us to enhance the relationships with our distribution partners across the Middle East as they grow the products and services they are providing to their clients. It also underscores our commitment to continue building our business in this region. Our approach is to combine our global knowledge with local market expertise to offer the best solutions to customers. I’m thrilled Hussein Shehab has joined us as our Managing Director of Ricoh Middle East, as his experience and expertise will help establish and build Ricoh’s presence in this exciting and dynamic market.”
The company will trade as Ricoh Middle East and will work with Ricoh’s existing distributors and business partners to meet their customer needs in the region. The new organisation will also act as a training centre on Ricoh products, solutions and services and an innovation centre will also be established, focusing on furthering research and development in the region.
This move increases the value Ricoh offers to businesses by bringing its expertise closer to the Middle East market and providing competitive products and services, R&D and marketing, and sales or maintenance service networks that meet local customer needs. Ricoh Europe now has four hubs in emerging markets across the EMEA region: Middle East; Russia; South Africa; and most recently Turkey, following last years’ acquisition of two leading distributors in the country.
